Rolling Butcher block Cart

Every cramped kitchen needs more counter space and this beautiful kitchen in Baltimore was no exception. To add more counter space and kitchen storage, this kitchen cart was designed to meet those needs. Ash butcher block was used to create a box, opened on two sides. The ash was oiled to match the existing custom-built kitchen cabinets. Painted plywood infilled the box for the shelves, drawers, and dividers. Finally, the cart was set on heavy-duty castors so that the piece could be wheeled around, or locked in place to create an island.

Ash butcher block, plywood, stain, butcher block conditioner, paint, drawer hardware, locking castors. Baltimore, Maryland. July 2020.
