Commissioned by the owner’s mother, this solid ash bench has a sleek craftsman-inspired modern design and simple form. The bench sits three people comfortably and is used to sit extra guests at the kitchen table.

I stained it lightly with a mix of Minwax Early American and Natural stains to darken the wood a bit to better match existing table and chairs that are approximately 30 years old. Finished with satin polyurethane for better wear. It’s quite comfortable.
